EFI Early Readers Junior is based on the Shared Book Approach, under STELLAR (STrategies for English Language Learning And REading), an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MOE) based on the belief that children learn language through enjoyable shared experiences in reading, speaking, listening and writing. Adults should read the stories aloud to children and invite them to join in when they can. Talk aout the pictures and get the children to predict the events in the story. Run your finger to help children track words so that they learn about the concepts and directionality of print which are read from left to right. Asked questions related to the story to help the children understand and share their opinion without testing them. Make reading an enjoyable moment with your children.
